Even good reputable shops make mistakes. I have the exact same tires on my 2006 DRZ 400 sm and I've hit 94-95mph with no wobble. Bring it back and have them re-check the mounting and balancing. If there a good shop they should try to keep customers happy and re-check for free. Also, don't go back to the stock Dunlops if you can help it. Handlebars wobble when I take my hands off. Anyone know why? I ride a 99 Honda magna and if I take my hands off of the handlebars, they start to shake, very much like speed wobbles. I was thinking that maybe the handlebars aren't aligned straight enough, but they don't look crooked. Anyways, it's not a big deal or anything, I would just like to.

4 years agoHi guys, had my 06 DRZ 400 SM for about a month now, only rode about 200 miles so far though due carrying out maintenance and waiting for delivery ect.
A bit worried about one thing, when i accelerate hard from say 50-70, i get a mini tankslapper. Handlebars just take themselves left to right rapidly. I just hold on lightly as i would normal riding, but im a bit scared that if i hit a pothole or something and it creates a proper tank slapper im screwed.
Is this normal behavior from one of these bikes? ive noticed its not so bad if i accelerate gently and have hit 90 and felt quite comfortable, but wouldnt want to do it for long (i know you shouldnt need to one one of these anyway)
Appreciate any replys!
Thanks
